Worked on a lot of things this month but no completions. This was the last Round Robin month for the guild and this was mine to add the last border. I like how it turned out, the stars are 3" and there may be more of those in my future. Loved doing them!
And then I got to see mine....
These are not colors I normally use. I won them at a trunk show last fall and now they are a completed top. I think I will quilt and bind it and use it as a summer table topper. It is so fun and fresh. Secretly, I was pleased that someone had "copied" my idea with the embroidery. It is the sheerest form of flattery, you know. (giggles)
These are the other 2 that I worked on. All said and done, I think everyone was pleased at how they turned out!
Our next guild project is 4 FQ's and the item is to be no larger than lap size. That stipulation is because of our over-achievers in the group. lol I have always wanted to do Plan C form Schnibbles Times Two, this may be the perfect opportunity.
I backed and quilted the Tribeca (Wild Child) and presented it to the person retiring. Now he can nap!
Now go see the others reduce their stash! Patchwork Times , such inspiration!
As Always,
Deb
I love Round Robins. I haven't been in one lately myself, but I've enjoyed helping my Mom with a couple she's recently participated in. The last "round robin" we had at guild was a Row Robin. You started with a row of a certain length and everyone participating added a row either above or below. There was now row height restriction. The end result was as terrific, just a twist on the concept. The embroiderer did pay you a compliment! I'd be happy with the result too. Sandi
