Missed last week's report but then again it was just goose eggs. Cleaning up after the holidays and got the sewing room ready to go for a fresh start!
I love that backings measure big usage.
This is the year of the UFO's and starting out gung ho!
First:
Saw this on Facebook about a year ago and worked out the pattern. Had limited fabrics to work with but I think the sweet girl that is going to get this will be thrilled!
Second:

Finally a train quilt for DH, Missouri Star's Jenny Sloan's Slice and Dice for layer cakes. So not my style but quick and easy and big enough for him.

Allietare Progress:
It was put on hold to finish these two but will be back at it this week.
There are 2 corners completed. Bonnie suggested working from each end and only having one long seam to do at the end. Sounds like a plan to me.
My border selections are:
I actually pulled my colors from this but not liking the binding so that will change.
It is almost kick-off so better get going, appetizers made and half-time chili ready so headed to the TV to bind another UFO while I watch. We usually get together with friends to watch but we voted today to all stay home. It looks beautiful out but the windchills are 30 below, so DH and I will cheer the Vikings on in complete comfort.
SKOL !

I hope you check out the enthusiasm on Patchwork Times. I do.

As Always,

Deb

  1. Love your red border fabric. The gold inner border is a nice choice.

    Too bad about our Vikings!

  2. Hi Beth, Only the Vikings could blow that game but there is always next year. I've been a fan since the 70's when they could really blow a game! lol Thanks, love the border also and as usual, not buying anything for the mystery so I started there. Nice to see you around again!
